  • Alternative Staffing Alliance
    This national association focuses on supporting, expanding and strengthening the field of alternative staffing. Online features include discussion forums; field-related research and publications; and data on the alternative and traditional staffing industries.
  • Workforce Strategies Initiative
    WSI -- also a program of the Aspen Institute -- identifies and advances strategies that help low-income individuals gain ground in the U.S. labor market. Online resources include program case studies, resources for practitioners, and participant research.
  • Breaking Through
    This multi-year demonstration, coordinated by Jobs For the Future, is exploring how community colleges can help low-literacy adults prepare for and succeed in occupational and technical degree programs. Its Website provides relevant research, reports and news.
  • Center for Social Policy
    CSP is a program of the McCormack Graduate School of Policy Studies at the University of Massachusetts-Boston. It works on various social and economic issues, including workforce development. Related online resources include research and evaluation data, and news from the field.
  • Microenterprise Fund for Innovation, Effectiveness, Learning and Dissemination
    FIELD -- a program of the Washington D.C.-based Aspen Institute -- provides an array of online services related to microenterprise. Included are statistics and case studies; webinars on a range of micro-related topics; and research and publications.
  • National Transitional Jobs Network
    The network is a coalition of programs, policy organizations and sponsoring institutions interested in issues of transitional jobs. Its Website offers such resources as research and evaluations, and information on sector-related policies and programs.
  • National Network of Sector Partners
    NNSP is a national membership-based organization that provides information and resources to the sectoral employment field. Its Website features sectoral-related research and publications, a directory of programs and practitioners, and news from the field.
  • Workforce Alliance
    This national coalition advocates for public programs that prepare workers and businesses in the U.S. to better compete in a global economy. Online features include research, statistics and information on related policies and programs.
