The program goal is to consolidate and strengthen the philanthropic community in Hungary. During the grant period, the Hungarian Donors Forum will increase its membership, develop its member services, increase its organizational capacity and financial sustainability, and cooperate with similar organizations in Central and Eastern Europe on efforts to develop philanthropy. The forum was formally registered in 2005, and its mission is to promote philanthropy, support the development of civil society, and improve the effectiveness and impact of indigenous grantmakers in Hungary. The grantee's main achievements to date include organizing the annual Top Philanthropist award for corporate donors, delivering capacity building workshops to its members, and promoting good grantmaking practice.
