The project goal is to strengthen the community foundation field in the Czech Republic. During the grant period, the Czech Association of Community Foundations will improve its services for members, promote community foundations as vehicles for community development in the Czech Republic, support the development of new community foundations, and identify new sources of revenue for the association and its members. The association was established in 2006 with the mission to develop the community foundation field in the Czech Republic, strengthen the capacity of its members, and represent Czech community foundations at the national and international levels. Currently, the association has eight members including five community foundations and three support organizations involved in providing services to community foundations and other grantmakers at the local level. In 2008-2009, the association provided information, consultations, and networking opportunities to its members.
