The recruitment and training of professional organizers is among the most commonly identified barriers to the growth of community organizing. In particular, organizing groups articulate a strong interest in identifying and hiring organizers who reflect and are knowledgeable about the diverse communities in which they work, including diverse faith communities. In response to this need, Jewish Funds for Justice has launched an interfaith organizing apprenticeship program. This grant will provide partial support for this initiative.
