This grant will enable the Intercultural Development Research Association to continue its work in building the capacity of African-American and Latino communities in the South and Southwest on key education issues. Through this project, the grantee has facilitated a series of cross-race dialogues to help create a common discourse between black and Latino stakeholders on increasing access and opportunities to graduation pathways for minority students. During the final phase of this initiative, the grantee will leverage and expand its work to new states and communities in the targeted regions, as well as nationally to continue to provide a model for cross-race dialogue and action on improving the achievement of minority students.
